~Romania’s people are warranted freedom of religion by their government. The main religion practiced in Romania today is Eastern Orthodox. 87 percent of Romania’s population belongs to the Eastern Orthodox Church*. Minority religions that take up small percentages of the population are Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism, and Islam
