~Government is the system or policy by which a political unit is governed. Romania has a Republic, which is a government where representatives are elected to exercise the power. The leader of Romania’s government is Adrian Năstase (the President of Romania).

~Romania's government is similar to the United State’s by the presence of like freedoms and rights, the type of government, and same time of presidential terms. Similar rights and freedoms of both countries include freedom of religion, expression, assembly, and movement. Similar rights include the right to vote, have a fair trial, education, and be elected. Both governments have a republic. The leader of both governments is a president.
~Romania's government differs by the people appointed by a president, the president’s right of party during office, and the successor of presidency if the president is vacant of office. The president of Romania appoints a prime minister, while the United State’s president appoints the Cabinet. The president of Romania may not be in a political group during his presidency, while the United State’s president may be. If the office of the president in Romania is vacant the successors of presidency are as follows. The President of the Senate and afterwards the President of the Chamber of Deputies is the order. In the US, the Vice President will take the role of presidency if the office of the president is unoccupied.
