~Georges Enesco once said, "Perfection, which is the passion of so many people, does not interest me. What is important in art is to vibrate oneself and make others vibrate". Georges Enesco was a Romanian-born violinist and composer. He was born in Dorohoiû, Romania, August 19, 1881. He died in Paris, France, May 4, 1955.

~Some of his accomplishments include composing the Romanian Rhapsodies 1 and 2, Suite Number 1 in C Major, Oedipus, three symphonies, three sonatas for violin and piano, Quintet for Piano and Strings, and Octet. He also taught violin to Grumiaux, Ferras, Gitlis and Yehudi Menuhin.

~As a youth Enesco showed musical talent. At the age of 7 he initiated his studying at the Vienna Conservatoire. He graduated at 13 and continued his studies at Paris Conservatoire.

~Enesco is famous because of his worldwide concert tours and famous pieces. The most famous compositions include Oedipe (a popular Opera) and his two Romanian Rhapsodies. I chose him because of the Romanian folk music within his Romanian Rhapsodies show part of Romania’s culture.
